Deep Healing for Women Who Need More Than Talking

Somatic Therapeutic Coaching | St Ives, Cambridgeshire | Online

If you've done counselling or CBT and found it helpful but incomplete, you're not alone. Many women come to me when they sense that what they're carrying lives somewhere words alone can't reach — in the body, in the nervous system, in patterns that repeat no matter how much they understand them.

I'm Claire, a Level 7 qualified somatic trauma-informed coach, accredited with ICF and registered with CMI. I work with a blend of approaches — somatic therapy, somatic healing, IFS (parts work), EFT, and ACT — to support healing at a deep, whole-body level.

Who I Work With

Women come to me when traditional talking therapies haven't gone far enough. I specialise in supporting women with trauma, highly sensitive people, and neurodivergent women and young people — particularly those navigating late diagnosis, perimenopause, or both at once.

I can help you with:

  • Trauma, cPTSD, and abuse recovery

  • Relational trauma and family dynamics

  • Chronic shame and negative self-talk

  • Anxiety, burnout, and nervous system overwhelm

  • Late neurodivergence diagnosis

  • Chronic pain and fatigue

  • Perimenopause and menopause

  • Confidence and self-worth

  • Boundaries and communication

  • Reconnecting with your sense of Self

How We Work Together

I take a three-stage approach — not a rigid structure, but a rhythm that ensures you feel safe, supported, and never overwhelmed.

Resourcing

Building the foundations. We get to know each other, identify your goals, and make sure you have what you need before we go deeper.

Exploration

Gentle, curious work with the experiences and parts of you that need compassionate attention — somatic, emotional, and cognitive.

Integration

Cementing what you've learned and experienced so it becomes lived wisdom — and you can move toward the life you want.

Your first session is a 90-minute Discovery. A chance to share your history, explore what's bringing you pain, and set your goals together. From there, I usually recommend starting with a block of 12 sessions, though we work to a pace that suits you for as long as you need.

I offer anyone considering working with me a free 30 minute consultation so we can discuss your needs and concerns and you can ask any questions that you have. I’ll talk you through options and fees and we come up with a plan together.

Please be aware that I currently have around a month’s waiting time for regular appointments.

About my approach

Somatic trauma-informed coaching starts from the understanding that trauma lives in the body, not just the mind. It shows up as a nervous system that can't settle, as physical tension, as patterns of shutdown or overwhelm that feel impossible to shift through willpower or insight alone.

Using somatic techniques alongside IFS (Internal Family Systems), I help you develop a relationship with the parts of you that are carrying pain, meeting them with curiosity and compassion rather than trying to override them. The goal is integration: not erasing your history, but no longer being run by it.

I have nearly three decades of experience working with the body through yoga and dance, which I bring into this work alongside my clinical training. This isn't therapy as a talking-head experience, it's whole-person, whole-body healing.

Looking for a gentler, body-based starting point? My Somatic Healing and Therapeutic Yoga sessions may be a good fit alongside, or instead of, therapeutic coaching.

Your body isn't broken. It's holding on.

If you're moving through perimenopause and your body suddenly feels less like home - the stubborn lower belly, the bloating that won't budge, the little leaks when you laugh or sneeze - you've probably been told to work harder. Tighten up. Pull your tummy in. Do kegals.

I want to gently offer you the opposite.

This free guide is for women whose bodies are holding too much, often without them even knowing it. Inside, you'll find a kinder way to understand what's happening between your hormones, your nervous system, and your pelvic floor, plus simple, lying-down practices you can do in bed before you even stand up. They're gentle enough for sensitive systems, including those of you living with POTS.

No crunches. No bracing. Just permission to breathe, soften, and let go.

“The difference between passion and addiction is that between a divine spark and a flame that incinerates.”
