Release, Surrender, Move into Flow.

In a world that often feels rushed and disconnected, I invite you to slow down and align with the cycles of the earth and sky. Whether through my weekly seasonal yoga and meditation classes or my deep-dive lunar immersions, these practices are a sanctuary for your nervous system.

Welcome Home to Your Body | Weekly Class

Aligning with the Rhythms of the Earth

My weekly class is more than just a movement practice; it is a seasonal sanctuary. I use slow, conscious movements to release chronic muscle tension, recalibrate the nervous system, and find ease from the inside out.

How We Practice:

  • The Lunar Cycle: Together, we honour the moon’s phases. Using the New Moon weeks for a longer, reflective practice and the Full Moon weeks for release and expansive movement. In between we’ll flow with more balanced energies as the moon waxes and wanes.

  • The Seasonal Shift: Our sequences adapt to the time of year, from the hibernation of Winter to the vitality of Summer.

When: Every Wednesday at 7pm

Where: Hemingford Reading Room

Investment: £9.99 per class or you can buy a 4 week pass for £35 by emailing me at claire@harmonyhealingservices.co.uk

(pricing is different for the New Moon deep immersions)

Next Event: Friday 13th February at Alma Barn | Then returning to Wednesdays at Hemingford Reading Room from March 18th

Investment: It’s a little more at £15.55 per person

What is Somatic Healing?

Unlike traditional exercise that focuses on attaining a pose, somatics is about the internal experience. Stress and past experiences can become stuck in the body, leading to tension and anxiety. By listening to the body’s wisdom through gentle, evidence-based practices, we facilitate deep nervous system regulation.

Come home to yourself. No prior experience is necessary. This space is open to all who feel called to slow down.

Claire Buttrum
Coach, dancer, teacher and therapist

I’m a qualified yoga teacher and Pilates instructor, ex-professional dancer and choreographer.

I qualified in Anusara yoga under Bridget Woods-Kramer in 2001, got certified to teach Pilates in 2018, am a certified Somatic Healer accredited with IYAT, and have taught in studios all over the south east of England.

I trained at Rambert ballet school, and danced professionally with a number of small dance troupes.

I am trained in interoception awareness, holistic therapies, and work in a trauma-centred, neuroceptive informed way. I’ve studied ancient chanting with Krishna Das, and enjoy exploring the divine feminine. I’m also currently training in shamanic journeying.

My classes are gentle and supportive. I don’t believe in pushing through pain or discomfort. My role is to support your nervous system to find balance and flexibility, and enable your body to develop strength and mobility.

I teach in a way that honours your body first, allowing you to tune into what your body is telling you it needs for true healing.

About Somatic Movement

Somatic movement is a practice that incorporates body and interoception (internal body sensation) awareness techniques. We are focusing more on the mind-body connection and how it feels rather than what it looks like.

In my movement classes we generally use yoga poses somatically to access emotional release. In my dance classes I choreograph very short, easy to learn sequences of movement.

We work slowly, using deliberate movements that promote relaxation and release tension. I bring in techniques like breathing exercises, visualisations, and gentle stretching to cultivate ease and acceptance.

In my workshops I encourage expressive movement in a safe, inclusive atmosphere. No dance experience required and you have complete agency over your body, responding to where it guides you to be. Explore physical sensations, emotions and movement patterns through mindful movement and breath.

Feel the rhythm, flow with grace, and celebrate shared movement.

 You can expect…

  • Structured and accessible, with simple, choreographed flow sequences.

  • Focused on learning, practicing, and sharing movement as a collective.

  • Inspired by performance yet pressure-free, promoting a shared flow state.

  • Emotional co-regulation through group expression and connection.

  • Heart-opening yoga asanas to soften, release, and ground.

Somatic movement and dance can help with:

  • Reducing stress and balancing cortisol

  • Enhancing emotional regulation

  • Improving overall well-being

  • Improving quality of sleep

  • Fostering a sense of presence

  • Developing greater resilience and self-awareness

  • Promoting physical and mental health
